I don't want to take my medicine
because I don't want a pill to tell me
how to feel.
It's like cheating,
and if I'm going to conquer this,
I'm going to without a pill
making me feel things that
aren't really there.

Yet here I am,
staring at a bottle,
that's more empty than
myself.
