I knew a dream worth the applause
Calming the restless child I once was
A blanket of white snow over the field
On a prairie that stretched to no yield
Clear night watched over the free land
It was a place of ease and a sight so grand

Towards the night sky I look to when I'm down
While I lay upon the snow of pure eiderdown
This world of dark blue filled with stars of delight
In the moonlight I lay with my love by my side
There is no cold but the thermal of each other
Letting it all go, I felt cared by the night's mother

I will always be with you as nature allows our rest
From the twilight after the trees beyond west
To the dawn of heaven's eye will the night cease
Our love flows throughout this quilt of sheets
Do not weep for me when we wake
The snow is forever our warmth to take
