Perpetuity

by @stygianmoon

For the most part, I walk off the beaten path. I've never remotely thought that I'd meet someone like myself. See, I never believed in fate anyway. A " half ", they said. She had fair hair with streaks of cotton-candy pink. Pale skin like snow in December. Diffident but kind & gentle. " Who'd ever give him the time of day ? ", she says but her actions show otherwise. We argue like we've known each other forever. She says our lives are a lot like Romeo & Juliet. I disagree but I admit, we were similar in many ways. She hates it when girls get too close. She loves it when I notice new things about her. She's foul-mouthed, and explodes for no apparent reason, and it seems like her only motive is to constantly taunt me, but she says " I hate you " with a smile on her face. I said I didn't believe in fate, but those blue eyes are eternal.
