Walked past life on my way to immortality,
Caught a glimpse of humanity along the way,
Staring directly into my mind and soul,
While I stumbled and fell and lost direction.

Got on board the eternal train to nirvana,
Held on tightly, hoping that I could find,
Another town, another face more friendly,
A place to rest my weary bones and heart.

Isn't this what we call living, being in the world,
Knowing our essense and finding where it belongs?
If we are all matter broken into a billion specks of light,
How do we know when we have finally reached the pinnacle?

Got off that spiritual train and started walking,
Stepping slowly onto the ground of knowledge,
Swinging my elongated body into lifetime motion,
Going faster and faster as my steps would allow.

Made it to a plateau where the grass seemed greener,
Looked up at the brightest, bluest sky you could find,
Breathed in the air, so clean and fresh to consume,
And asked is this where I am supposed to be?
