Reviving Ophelia

"No one wants a compliant, subservient little thing" She said in class I looked down at my desk "Trying only to please others instead of yourself will put you in darkness" They kept talking about Ophelias How sad it was How sad But they didn't notice the effect their words had Or the girl crying quietly in the corner But to be fair No one ever does
