Little Remains. All of what's seen- A silence
In memory of what used to be

Now reminiscing in history.

Leaving yesterday's nights was painful to do.
To turn from something both old and new.
Vision of the present faded from sight.
Goodbye, Goodnight. Awaken to a different view.

The world fell to tints and shades
smudged and overlaid- even through the sunniest days,
until summer came and dust flew with every sigh
of relief for something worth feeling the pain.

Share our last smiles as time ticks down
to reveal all the words we'd never otherwise say.
Will we carry on- anything to stay strong?
Or preserve our hearts for a different decay?
