Dec 2014
One day its happy day
The sun shining your ground
the trees stood majestically
All green, all beautiful
Your soft ground, your fresh air...

Next day it's sad day
No more sunshine
No more greens
Sky turned into black
Air became polluted
Fire everywhere

Gaps in our hearts
No more beating hearts
Loss of beauty
What a shame! What a pitty!
Why invade my country
The country where I was born

Men bleeding on the floor
Tanks flattening my house
Landmine killing my sisters
Brothers killing brothers

Your soil turned into ashes
Your river became red
The giant building that stood upon you, crumbled into pieces
The trees that have been rooted to your heart
for thousands of years burnt into seconds

My country,
those happy moments I had here
All gone, all dissapeared the next day

Next day when everything vanished
This object I hold from your ground I took
Always cherish it, always in my heart!
I say Adieu, but not goodbye
Farewell my country, I'm going
But my soul will always be with you.
I wrote this when I was 16 for a GCSE assignment!!!! But it's a true story
