I saw all of their pretty faces in a book

One big one

The books that collect dust, reading “clean me” on it’s cover

All the faces in line

Combined and waiting to be exposed

But no one wants to open tomes dust smothered

And for centuries…closed

The codex found it’s way on a trail

To a whole new world

Filled with pixels and combinations defined

But they all died waiting in line
