The room
Halogen bulb
Clinging to a wire
Flickers
As if to illuminate the
Thick fog of desire
In the air
The wire
Frayed but sound
A conductor
Of forces far beyond its comprehension
A helping hand

We stare at the wall
Sturdy beyond imagination
A goliath of brick and mortar
And contemplate its destruction
