I Never Knew You
Eyes flutter shut
like butterfly wings
in the early sunrise
I know you're gone
but dreams of you
come so swiftly
that id rather live there
than to wake
another day.
Fingertips trace
the outline of what
was once your
silhouette
and somehow
even though it's all
over, you're still here
loving me
every step
of the way.
