Aphorisms, Axioms and Awry Adages
Life isn’t fair
, they tell me,
it’s not always cut and dry.
You can’t always get what you want
,
but that just leaves me asking why?
Ignorance is bliss
, supposedly,
some days I wish I’d never met you.
Anything is possible
, they say,
doesn’t that apply to us too?
Money can’t buy happiness
,
but it can buy a plane ticket.
Everything happens for a reason
,
well that reason can go stick it.
A closed door is a window opened
but what if the door was never there?
They tell you to *follow your heart
,
My heart’s with you; it’s not going anywhere.
