Praying this rain holds the magic in it
To wash these memories of you away
To sedate or satiate this longing for the taste of your skin
I wax and wane for you
Like the tide, the moments rise up and envelope me
They provide the adored recess of nights gravitational pull
The relief of dreams
In which you kiss my forehead in my sleep
In which you meant what you said
When you said you wanted me
I pray this rain holds magic in it
