Birth

When does life begin?

At the crack of dawn,

as a new born wails

in the arms of his mum?

In his early teens?

When discoveries unfold,

first heart-aches seen?

Trials of a man-child.

Or, in his forties?

Serious commitments,

responsibilities,

as the body deteriorates?

Life starts with a promise.

First rays of the sun,

then suddenly demise

into big drops of rain.

Life can be bitter.

Yet, if we can see through…

Accept life better.

Only then, we can breathe.
