In the spark of a lighter on a cigarette
In the sparkle of a twilight star
In the shine of an eye in a veteran portrait
In the glint of sun through a drizzle war.

In the shimmer of dust in the early sunlight
In the gleaming midnight moon
In the shining tears of happy eyes
In the glittering outline of a paper cartoon.

In all these simple sights it lies-
The buried, hidden treasure.
A feast for all the demonic eyes-
The epitome of pleasure.
