why is it that whenever you’re near

my tongue is tied  and I can’t speak

my knees tremble and i feel weak

my heart beats fast and i just can’t breathe

my stomach always seems to churn and twist

my palms always sweat and the air tastes sweet

the day feels brighter more than it seems

i can’t help but blush and smile and i don’t know what i feel

my head feels light and i think i need a kiss

gosh, i don’t know what to do…will you just come and take me?
