I miss you,
Every night and day.
I miss you so much,
I don't know what to say.

I know you need to be there,
For you and for us.
But sometimes I grow weak,
And my mind begins to rust.

Oxidation occurs,
And spreads through my veins.
My heart beats wildly,
When the winds begin to change.

I miss you so much,
That if you asked me to,
I'd walk the 87 miles,
It takes to reach you.

It'd take me a week,
Maybe a bit more.
But the cramps in my legs,
Would be worth arriving at your door.

It's been 24 hours,
Since I saw you last.
And God, girl,
I'm sick of living in the past.

Patience has always,
Been one of my virtues.
But I can honestly say,
My virtues are stretched thin these days.
