I can not sleep
I lie awake 'neath the window
The alley's howling

We

We waded through leaves
Silently
Up the hill
Searching for the moon

I do not dream
Of anything worth remembering
This city's haunting

me

We climbed up that tree
Wantonly
To the high branch
Reaching for the moon

The seamless continuity of my days and my nights
Amassing black soot on the bags of my eyes
