Mother
I live in
another.
We breathe in
each other.
She said you've got the eye.
She said you've got to lie.
She said you've got to die.
She said you've got to ask
Why?
What's the use?
We're all deprived.
Put me to work.
I'm alive.
I've got the bones.
Pick me
apart.
I'm a walking work of art.
Lift me
higher.
My heart's on fire.
I'm living proof.
That we all
unwind,
from behind.
You can't
feel the skin you're in.
Until someone's felt you.
You don't know
where to begin.
Until someone's had to.
