Shattered
The hurtful words,
that you said.
The way you mistreated me.
When I reached out to you,
you turned your back on me.
What have I ever done to make you be so
cruel.
What did I ever do????
I thought you'd be there on my side,
but you didn't take my hope and pride.
You rejected me,
Can't you see I tried to be your friend.
You'll just end up hurting me again.
With me you don't have to pretend.
I'm healing inside,
I've moved on, without you
I'm no longer SHATTERED.

I just had this poem in mind and thought I'd share it with you all. It is based on my experiences.
