You say I'm gonna break your heart,
But you have to know how silly that would be.
Because if I were to take a hammer and swing,
I'd be destroying the foundation beneath my feet.

You say I'm gonna break your heart,
But there's something you have to understand.
If I even had the ability to hurt you,
It would be like cutting into my own hand.

There's no clever way to say this,
But you have to know its true.
I could never break your beautiful heart,
When my own beats for you.

I'm definitely no doctor,
There's no D or R before my name.
But when you hold my hand and look at me,
I think our hearts might be one in the same.
