Nov 2014
it's been about five years since we last spoke
i honestly don't know how you've been;
i like to think i've changed a lot
but you haven't.

whenever i see you i hear
snippets of your conversations;
taunting words reminding me of what i had
but i don't think i want it any more

for years you were my perfect angel
who never spoke a word to me;
my eyes saw only you in what i thought was darkness
but this is the real darkness

now i'm over my delusions about perfection
i know what you really are;
you haven't changed at all, i'm sure
you're still what you were before.
