I long for the green pastures of fables
The shepherd that lead the right way
The children of innocence
The strangers who felt like friends

But a life of simple living
Was wept into stone
Highways that lead to sins
Brought evil days

Lambs were lead astray
Footprints that walked away
In the snow
That turned into a slush of dark grey
