Oh, my mind is at peace, atop this moutain peak
the air so crisp and clear, it renders me weak
looking at the horizon, and illusion captures me
a silhouette of you dancing, to the night to be

so vibrant is your sway and the lightness of your feet
bouncing effortlessly from each star you meet
a gentle touch from your fingers lets them twirl so sweet
as they twinkle and wink, for all of us to see

up here my thoughts are vacant, the debris is down there
my smile is wide, yet the corners drip tears
and up here I try to reach you, to comfort your fears
I guess what I'm really saying, I wish you were still here
