I'm pulling and you're pushing
Escape is necessary to survive this crazy state.Β
You yell nothing has change we will always be the same
I look into your eyes and notice a new light that burns bright
Yesterday was great but the clouds have rearranged making today, a new day
As you fight this approaching revelation I try to make amends
When this ends I want us to always be friendsΒ
You tell me nothing's over it's getting better than yesterday
I hear in your voice the strain of keeping me close
You're pushing me to stay and I just keep pulling away.
