Humans are very adaptable creatures
We find a way to accept the chaos we live in
Tiny men, with blue ties and leather brief cases
Running around like chickens with their heads cut off
Just trying to keep their heads above water
Our hearts learn to beat at this rapid pace
Our threshold is compromised for the bubbling blood
That boils in a *** we call our veins
Our bodies are sacred
In a way that's not religious
In a way that's not respected
But we misuse
With tear and toil, we treat our limbs
Our muscles
Our pumping hearts
Like utter ****
Because that's what this world can do to you
But that's not what you can do for this world
You owe it to yourself to breathe.
