Selah Salah was an ancient Hebrew Princess
she wanders along
Yeah, she sings along the shoreline all day long
an ocean ghost who once lived long ago
with long blonde hair
she tosses red roses up in the air...
catching them with her hands
her eyes glimmer blue, and gold like she secretly understands
all the quiet children playing in the sand
building sand castles with their little hands...
secrets they cannot tell
because a big person told them
they'd go straight to hell...
So she places a rose she's blessed near their feet
n' she says a prayer that this will keep
them safe from harm
asking angels to watch over them while they sleep.
