Once I was an empty tree
and here I swung
On the lowest branches of me
life not yet begun

and here I see you
and you see me
passed me you flew
reaching out
we always missed
reaching out
into the abyss
into the sea
passed you I flew

The deepest depths of me
and down you slung
the branch I could not see

as I am drowning
you are frowning

and then I feel
your last appeal

Your wrist clasp to mine
and mine to yours
and together we soared
forever divine
