how much pain can one life hold

how long can I withstand the cold

not here to linger set in stone

my time is finite this I know

perhaps its not my place to ask

for divine hands to help me grasp

this universe so wide and vast

to count the stars hung in the sky

to plot the course I live my life

but I am man and will survive

as faerie tales don't extend lives
