I've come to feel that
in fact,
it's just rude for someone to show up at the door
unannounced
expect me to drop whatever I'm doing and answer it
when it happens to be convenient for them.
If you're regularly bothered
by unannounced callers at your front door,
learn to just let it ring
It'll make your life
a lot easier.
