Hundreds of purple, pink, and red
Butterflies clouding my head.

Getting pushed around
Through jostling crowds,
(weak at the knees,
head in the clouds)

Thousands of blue, yellow, and green
Butterflies fluttering inside of me.

Generally struggling
Against the tide,
(Suddenly caught in a current
of my own design)

Hundreds of purple, pink, and red
Butterflies clouding my head.

My thoughts are muddled,
They’re so very confused.
(Everyone is laughing,
Why are they so amused?)

Thousands of blue, yellow, and green
Butterflies fluttering inside of me.

Quickly, get in character,
Put on my mask so you won’t see,
(Please don’t sit under the apple tree
With anyone else but me..)
