A Friend

I'm not sorry we've been where we've been

I don't know what to call it

But it worked for me

We were young

things moved fast

But I had trust in you

and you had faith in me

You helped me learn about myself,

sometimes in ways mama would not approve of

But nevertheless, I would be different, if I never had you
