"You can't."
My father used to say,
And corollaries I have found:

Pull the nails...
The holes remain.

Burn the bridges down...
The pillars stand at water's edge.

Slam the door and go...
Cracks spread out above the frame.

Dust off your feet...
Your footprints will remain.

A rocket launched...
Must surely fall.

Arrows loosed...
Cannot be called back to the string.
A start. Can you add?
