Eyes

Her eyes shift down to the floor

everyone in the room is cold

but she chooses to isolate herself, she chooses

for she does not know any other way to cope

with the unfamiliar who used to be friendly

the deep thoughts which once existed appear shallow on the surface of conversation

while they pretend to care

she pretends to forget

but her eyes!

her eyes will tell them other wise!

They are insecure

even when she is sure

that she would forget the secrets of everyone

and her eyes

her eyes

the thoughts to her soul, shifting, making everyone realize

she is nobody

if it weren't for her eyes
