You saying to me that you
will love me no matter what
I choose to be, no matter how
I present myself, whoever
I love, and always, was exactly what
I didn't know I needed to hear. And you
kissed my hand and I
wrapped my arms around you fiercely I
love you and will not
let go.
And my words froze
and stuck in my throat- as
the peculiar feeling
that is my stomach, expanded
as it persists in doing
any time someone
says something like that- before
if I am not careful,
I weep.
