How easy it's been for you to discard me
conversations lasting
for hours until half past three
You, a faded ghost now
I watched you slip out my bedroom window
slowly...
leaving me behind
a crushing wall of silence
except for the sound of my own heart beating
and, the wet tears on my face
I hear my breath
in-between my sighs
I know that I am still alive...
and, in the quiet hours when the moon is full
bright, and high in a starry midnight sky
when I gaze outside my bedroom window
I'm reminded of our ghost love
disappearing as the sun begins to rise
and, I think of you.
