The Church On Main Street Corner
Waiting inside,
I didn't see you.
I sat there quietly,
yet trying to attract attention.
Seven days have gone by
that I haven't seen your face
but as I exited the room
you caught my attention.
Oh, I can remember
how the light hit your face,
putting me to shame,
making me pale.
What do you want me to say?
That you are it for me, love?
That you are everything to me?
But oh, my darling!
My whole being does not give up for you!
