I saw the world upside
today,
tethered
to steel,
zipping on a different plane,
higher than a soaring kite,
I did not fight the speed.

I saw malachites & cobalts,
jades & azures,
a screaming stream,
brilliant
switling
turned-up
leafy-canopies
& a few busted toes.

Don't you know.
Heaven sees us like this....
kissing the sky.

O Dear Lord,
I need to feed
my adrenalin monkey,
who's hanging on my back,
'bout to break me.
