Pale feet push up on cracked blue vinyl
Always pick a seat closest to the bathroom
Should the bulletproof vests meander by
You'll be safe.

Avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid.

I always eat before I get on the train.
Minutes later fingers are clawing at the inside.

Standing well behind the yellow line
Just before the wind pushes me back farther
I always think about walking forward.
Every ******* time.

I don't feel safe
on subway platforms
anymore.
Shoulders are grabbed
And bodies press up against my back
Hands way too close for it to be an accident.

(Canceling the flight
Felt awful and wonderful
And final.)

(You still won't want me.)
