How did time pass so fast
How could I think it will last
Forever and always and a day
I sit here now with nothing to say
Yesterday so careless and free
Today, what have we left to see
Friends or acquaintances?

I still think of you every day,
And somehow wonder

I guess I just couldn’t stand

Even if we still talk and laugh
There is a quietness between us
Something precious has died

Memories of a friend
Who meant the world to me
