Soldiers on the battlefield feel the end is near,
Openly they welcome it to show they have no fear,

Workers in a mining town know the risk is high,
Still they go back to their work without a tear to cry,

Homeless on the streets at night have little left to toast,
Yet each would say that luck and life are what they value most.

People running to and fro living out each day,
Very few know what they have until it goes away.
