Nights when I can't sleep,
I write poetry.
I guess I should have a piece every night then,
but I don't.

Sometimes my mind conjures beautiful words that float around my brain, unable to be constructed into an equally beautiful sentence.

Then they just disappear,
and I feel empty again.

Its only on nights like these,
where I can see the edge of a star,
a glimpse of the moon
and for a moment,
I feel hopeful.

that sleep will come again,
that my thoughts will finally rest.
Don't even know if this makes sense.
