I have tried many things, to catch the sunlight’s liquid glow A ray of morning, I once thought I embraced Where all smoothness flowed upon my own plateau I closed my eyes Felt it brush across my face
I found a shining beam, peeping through an apple tree Yet when I climbed up to hold it close It left my hands in exile and I could no longer see The very thing I wanted the most
So I turned my fondest eyes, up into the glorious skies Opened up my heart to catch the glow To this very day I hold liquid sunlight here inside You can see it when I smile Then you will know
