A story told before

Watching new men die

For ideals of the old

We live we live we live

Yet die.

And for what?

Forgotten dreams of dead men

Who we found still float.

Do you understand that death is not our enemy

That our enemies aren't our ******* enemies

That that religion isn't any different from this one.

We wait for our savior to do our ugly work

To sweep these nightmares under the rug.

We watch as our brothers and sisters are *****

And drugged and killed.

We watch as our children become the rapists

The druggies and the dead

We watch as we become victims

As the world spins madly on

As love rots in or own hands

Because we watched.

How is this a world we choose to live in.

How is this a way to teach our children.

How is this our choice!

Because we don't know we have a choice

We don't know it's okay to feel

To cry

To scream

To laugh!

We don't know because it's not what we teach.

We don't know

And we won't know until we decide to help each other

When we learn to help ourselves.

Then we can teach our kids

Then we can change

Then we can choose.
