The wind blew on moonlit seas, bewitching the face of night
Breaking the heart of many shores along the way
Pitching and rolling each wave in his sight
While temptation had nothing to say

Sea nymphs cried out, β€œDo not look upon the blowing wind”
Preparing to sit in judgment upon our hearts
Yet how could we not let the magic begin
That held our night from the start

We struggled to fight a deep sleep, that suddenly came
In a hundred winds upon our blessed ship
Crying out to the night to remember our names
In the prayers whispered from our lips

For our forgiveness we begged the spellbound night
As the moon looked on so cold and pale
Yet the wind blew harder as we watched in fright
Our tranquil nights bewitching hell

Not one of all of us was saved, who looked upon the wind
Our broken hearts are found on every shore
Temptation had much to say in the end
As the night cried out for more
