Have you ever seen the night, hide from the sands of an hour glass
In hope, that he can return to his own beginning
Watched his tears falling, on all that he has
Thinking, it is now ending

Have you ever looked into the eyes of a never ending journey
Missing the sweet fragrance of his roses on the vine
Wishing to hear the laughter of his child at play
Afraid to stop, and call them mine

Did you ever look into the raging face of a firelight’s glow
Fighting mightily, to burn brighter than ever before
Consuming all that he sees, in a fiery show
Stare confused, at embers on his floor

Could you look upon a field, yielding regret and shame
Still seeing beauty in between its rows
Strike your very heart with the essence of a flame
Make you wish to see this beauty grow

If you have seen the night hiding from an hour glass
Looked into the eyes of a never ending journey
Watched a fire burn out, all that he has
In this field, you can see the beauty
