On a Leash

by zainab-attari

I have dreams, just like you I want to make mine come true But every time I try to reach for it, You pull me down into the pit You shove me with errands, which are yours I am tied up again without a cure I shed tears and stare up into the sky, And wave my dreams goodbye. -Zainab Attari
