I saved for you aloneΒ Β
an old box full of feeling
the treasures of my youth,
the laughter and the brooding
on values and truth
and all the priceless memories
I saved them all for you
including those first kisses,
and all our explorations,
the times we swam together
at the Sea of Innocence
where I saw you float away,
float away from me
and your surprise
for me
If only I could
find it again
perhaps it would
feel less like
being the
one
left
so
adrift
