Oct 2010
Lonely brown leaves lie scattered round my door
While crickets chirped triumphantly
My entire mind suddenly slipped to the floor
As the wind blew those lonely leaves
Around the soul
Of me

The first sound I heard was overwhelming cares
Spreading to the face of a sun
Seeing great anguish flying through the air
Wondering where it ended
And how it had
All begun

I felt lost at sea in the depths of their crashing grief
Wishing change would prolong my breath
So I could blow life back into the lonely leaves
Return their green anew
Steal them away
From the face of death
