Nothing

your untouched sheets are crisp and clean like a razor

your vacant pillow floats on the bed before me like an empty lifeboat

the absence of your breath is deafening

you left me Nothing and now it is all i have

i will cling to it

i will nurture it

i will feed it with what is left of me

until it grows strong enough to consume me

then i will be free of the Nothing you left to me
