We measure the spaces
between    us
by    our     goodbyes
and how I wish you

could hold me as I
collapse into my bed and
cry to sleep

a touch of your hand
a kiss on my lips
a loving embrace

more than ever

every night, I wish we could close our
eyes together

right here with your arms around me
rising bodies
rain

on those window panes, your arm
over my body

night after night
never leave me again
never say goodbye

I love you.
